SEA Global is looking for the next generation of engineering leaders to join our 2026 Summer Internship and/or 2027 Graduate Program. What you do next will determine your suitability for the program shortlist.
This isn’t your average “tick-a-box” application.
We’re more interested in how you think, how you handle a bit of pressure, and how you’ll interact with the team at SEA Global.
There are no right or wrong answers here, just a chance for us to get to know the real you.

Scene 1/8
It’s your first day at your new engineering consultancy. You’ve completed the office tour, had a quick coffee with the team, and found your desk. Your first training session isn’t for another hour.
Your only "must-dos" are:
You estimate that’ll take 30 minutes tops, leaving you with a bit of a gap. The office is quiet, and everyone looks flat-out.
Scene 2/8
You and a colleague just got assigned your first project. You’re in a kick-off meeting with a senior engineer who’s talking through the background, timelines, and risks.
Since this is subsea engineering, you’re drowning in new acronyms and "industry standard" assumptions you’ve never heard of. You follow the logic, mostly, but the big picture is still a bit blurry.
The senior engineer pauses: “Does that all make sense?”
Despite the meeting running over and your colleague's apparent fluency with the topic, your need for immediate clarity remains. You are aware that initial confusion, if left unaddressed, will only intensify.
Scene 3/8
The project requires Python. You’ve only used it a bit at uni. You finish the company’s "self-paced" training module, but there are some gaps.
The team is flat-out on a deadline today, but you know they value people who speak up rather than just "pushing through".
Scene 4/8
You’re surrounded by incredibly smart and capable engineers. In the kitchen and in meetings, they’re discussing complex concepts with total ease. It’s inspiring, but honestly, it’s a bit intimidating.
Scene 5/8
You and a colleague have hit a fork in the road. You disagree on how to approach a part of the project, and to make things trickier, there’s no clear ‘right’ answer or textbook solution.
Scene 6/8
You’ve shared your work with the crew, and a senior engineer starts leaning in. They aren’t being a shocker, but they are being thorough, asking pointed questions and poking holes in your logic. You know that in this game, the tiny details are what keep things from going south.
Scene 7/8
After the chat, it’s time to head back to your desk, process the feedback, and get the job polished up. Some of the comments hit home straight away, while others really challenge the way you first approached the problem.
While you’re in the thick of those revisions, you realise one part of your original approach still feels solid, even after the feedback.
Scene 8/8
The deadline for a massive deliverable is looming, and things are starting to heat up. In engineering, the final stretch is where the real work happens.
