SEA Global developed calibrated digital models of the Bacalhau rigid production flowline system using the SEA Global ICE Platform engineering workflows, integrating as-built and operational data to create digital twins for engineering analysis, integrity assessments, and future field development.
The scope covered all engineering features on each flowline, including buckle sleepers, in-line structures, walking anchors, and crossings. The team performed Level III lateral buckling and walking integrity assessments using calibrated digital models and flow assurance transient data to evaluate flowline response under early life transient operating conditions, verify system integrity, and support risk classification and maintenance planning. Additionally, SEA Global supported Equinor with construction interface decisions during the final stages of subsea construction, providing rapid insights to enable informed decision-making for construction deviation requests. The scope also encompasses long-term maintenance and updates to the analytical digital twin following future surveys to re-analyse system behaviour, verify ongoing system integrity, support risk-based inspection, and provide a platform for future studies such as structure displacement for rigid jumper tie-ins.

Scope of Work
As-Built Analytical Digital Twin
Developed calibrated digital models of the Bacalhau rigid production flowline system using the SEA Global ICE Platform engineering workflows, integrating as-built and operational data to create digital twins for engineering analysis, integrity assessments, and future field development. The scope included all engineering features on each flowline e.g. buckle sleepers, in-line structures, walking anchors and crossings.
Level III Integrity Assessment
Performed Level III lateral buckling and walking integrity assessments using calibrated digital models and flow assurance transient data. The work evaluated flowline response under early life transient operating conditions, verified system integrity, and supported risk classification and maintenance planning.
Design - Construction Interface
SEA Global leveraged value from the calibrated as-built finite element models by supporting Equinor with Construction interface decisions during the final stages of subsea construction. Rapid insights gained regarding system integrity enable informed decision making for construction deviation requests.
As-built Model Maintenance
Maintenance and updates to the analytical digital twin by incorporating revised survey, operational, and engineering data is planned to follow future surveys. Updated system behaviour will be re-analysed to verify on-going system integrity and support risk-based inspection. The as-built finite element models provide a powerful platform for other future study scopes, such as structure displacement for interface to rigid jumper tie-ins completed in future project phases.
