SEA Global provided FEED phase engineering to support the construction of two offshore export cable lines.
The scope of work encompassed route optimization to enhance installation flexibility and lower costs, alongside comprehensive shore crossing design, layout selection, and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) profiling. The team completed technical, electrical, and construction design assessments to evaluate electrical and thermal performance while defining the construction philosophy. Additionally, tasks included generating mapping and bathymetric corridor sheets, producing a Cable Protection Report, completing a Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) for protection methods, reviewing Offshore Substation Platform (OSP) foundation drawings, and managing complex regulatory permitting requirements such as Water Permits and Strategic Location Decisions.
